AliExpress.com has been known to sell knock-off formal dresses

After investigating AliExpress.com, it has been discovered that this website is from Asia and they sell formal dresses that are not from the original designer, but copies that they make based upon a picture. AliExpress has been added to our Do Not Buy list. They are illegally selling one or more dress lines using the manufacturers pictures or pictures from actual people without their permission. These dresses are imitations and not authentic from the actual designer. Buyer beware!

"I ordered a dress on March 14th for an event on April 22nd. The app says it will shipp within 10 days or the order is cancelled. On the 8th day I noticed that nothing had shipped so I contacted the seller and she said she would send it out the next day.

The next day the item was marked as shipped. Here it is over a month later and I'm wondering why the dress has not arrived. I go to the website to check the tracking and get an error message. The tracking number does not exist.

I contacted customer service and they got mad at me saying that the item is marked as shipped. After going back and forth with them for about 10 minutes the guy admits that it doesn't seem like anything was shipped and opens a dispute for me because buyer protection is running out.

The seller immediately begins messaging nonstop telling me to close the dispute because the package shipped and will update in 5-10 days. I send her the screenshot from March whenever said she shipped and she admits that she hasn't sent anything yet.

I screenshot that message and attach it to my dispute to find out that every time you add some thing to the dispute they start the clock over. A dispute should end in 5 days of the seller not replying but because customer service told me to add evidence it will not close until next week. Contacting my bank tomorrow.

Aliexpress makes it nearly impossible to get your money back so do yourself a favor and buy whatever you're looking for somewhere else."

has been added to our knock-off dress list. This company ships knock-off dresses from Asia and is trying to take advantage of consumers by selling dresses they claim to be authentic. This store uses images from manufacturers illegally under US copyright law.

Be extra safe when shopping online and do your research before buying from a company that you are not sure of!

I ordered promotional logo baseball hats on Aliexpress. I had good talks with the manufacturer, paid for the hats, and 10 days later got a shipped notice and tracking number. All was well, I thought. But, now months later, I have nothing. I cannot even find our past correspondence except for the tracking number and the hats they “supposedly” made.

Ailexpress is a scam. Be warned.

Our general return policy applies to all eligible products except certain dresses listed below. You may return product(s) within 7 days for either a store credit or you may make an exchange. We do not issue refunds. A store credit will be issued minus a 15% restocking fee will be applied to all returns/exchanges. We do not profit from this restocking fee since our suppliers charge us this fee. An RMA must be submitted for approval in order to return an item. Shipping fees, if any, which were applied at purchase are not refunded. Once the item is received, an email will be sent to you with a store credit code that does not expire or an exchange will be processed.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN AN ITEM?

We offer a 7-day return window for most purchases (exclusions listed below).

The return window begins when your package is marked "Delivered" by the tracking system. From that time, you have 7 days (including weekends and holidays) to make a return/exchange request. You will be unable to submit a return/exchange request after that 7-day period.

ABOUT RE:DO RETURNS

  • Customers now have the option to pay $1.98 at the time of purchase to later qualify for free returns on that order.
  • Didn’t add and checkout with Re:Do? You will still return like normal and purchase a label through them with discounted shipping rates saving you time and money!

WHAT ITEMS ARE EXCLUDED FROM RETURNS AND EXCHANGES?

The following items are not eligible for a return or exchange:

  • Clearance items (will be clearly marked "Clearance" or have the price that does not end in $xx.99 or $xx.98)
  • Wedding gowns
  • Quinceanera dresses
  • Cinderella Divine Black Label
  • Tiaras
  • Designer dresses by Andrea & Leo Couture and DeKlaire Bridal

ARE THERE ANY FEES FOR RETURNING AN ELIGIBLE ITEM?

The following fees are as follows:

  • If shipping was complimentary at checkout, original freight/handling cost will be deducted.
  • Customer is responsible for shipping costs on return/exchanged items if RE:DO was not added to your order at checkout.
  • A 15% restocking fee for all returns will be accessed.
  • Packages that are denied and "returned to sender" or refused will be subject to a 50% restocking fee.
  • Please note that any amount paid for shipping is non-refundable.

WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE AN EXCHANGE?

If you would like to make an exchange for a different size or dress, simply submit an RMA by clicking here . Once approved, you will receive an email with instructions. The exchange process can take 7-12 days. Once the item has been received and approved, you will receive an email with a code that you can use to apply on our website to make an exchange. You will go through the checkout process online.

If time is of the essence, place a new order for the item you need, then contact us by email informing us of this decision. If for some reason the item that you ordered is not available, it will not constitute a refund. In such a case, a store credit will be issued once the original dress has been returned.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR RETURNED ITEMS?

  • Returns are carefully inspected; all original tags must be in place and the product must not show any signs of wear or damage.
  • Items found with snags, worn, washed, altered, ripped, stained, grease marks, pet hair, pen marks, perfume, deodorant stains, smoke odor and/or missing tags will be returned immediately at the customer's expense.
